Welcome, welcome!

I know what you’re thinking. “Mental illness isn’t fun or lighthearted.” “No one wants to talk about it.” “It’s too serious.” “It makes people too uncomfortable.”

Nah. I mean, yes. You’re right. Mental health, mental illness and all the levels of messed up in-between are pretty serious. But why shouldn’t we talk about it?

It might sound crazy to you, but I love discussing my mental health. I like keeping my friends and family up to date, especially after the last year of an uphill battle with coming to terms with the chemical imbalances in my brain. And now, I want to share my experiences and words of wisdom with you all.

So, whether you’re struggling with mental illness yourself or trying to understand what a family member/friend is going through, hopefully you find some help and comfort on my blog.
